Feedback from Storyboard adviser

Hello Ronan,

I've looked over your story board for your animation and I think it's brilliant, I was giggling to myself the whole time.

In all I think the shots are great, there are just a few suggestions I have for angles on a few frames:

Frames 8 and 10.. Maybe if you were looking down a little on Monty. It would make him appear more vulnerable and worried and would show a difference in urgency between him and Brian.

Frame 21.. You could do a panning up shot of the cucumber rocket in the garden (like the shot of the rocket they do in Wallace and Gromet).. Alternately you could put a panning up shot in when Monty asks the professor "could we use the rocket that looks like a cucumber in your garden" --> panning shot of rocket --> swipe back to characters when professor reveals it's just a large cucumber...

Frame 29.. Maybe you could pan across the lab before settling on characters?

Frame 35.. Possible when they look at each other instead of just a shot of them looking at each other you could use a comic book style split screen of just the eyes looking at each other.. It may be a bit out of place but could work...

Frame 50... Same as 29, you could possibly pan around the bar to get a closer look at some of the background characters

Frame 102.. If you looked upwards at the characters it would make them appear bigger and more heroic

Frame 110... POV shot from guard? Would be a good contrast from them looking big and heroic to looking small and puny compared to the big guard

Frame 111.. POV shot looking up from characters. Reiterates the guard being big and strong.

I hope you find these suggestions of help to you. Other than those few ideas I think the shots look great. Good luck with your animation and I look forward to seeing it when it's done!

Regards

Steph House
